Just for fun, lets list some things that simply annoy you when it comes to message boards in general. Not to pick, poke, or bash anyone inperticular, but to have some fun in pointing out the less desirable things that seem to come along with a message board expierence.
Here are my top 5 things that erk me....
#5: The phantom doubble and/or tripple post.
- You make your post, press the 'post' button and all of a sudden there is a multiple of the same post, making you look like an idiot. Then you have to spend the next 10 minutes editing and/or deleting said multiples as well as explaining to the 9 people who are telling you that you doubble/tripple posted.
#4: Where did my post go??
- How many times have you spent a good ammount of time, laboring over a well written, thought provoking and compelling retort, only to hit the submit button and come to find the post you just invested time, energy and serious thought in has went the route of the missing sock. Only to find out that you no longer have the energy or will to re-write it all over again...
#3: ...
- I just hate it when I see a new post made and the title is "...". I just have to click on it and it's never worth the click. I wish I had the will to just not click it but am compelled to find some sort of reason for such a diluted title. My search still goes on...
#2: Attention ******.
- I just can not stand when someone comes along, or starts out of nowhere posting about every detail of there collection and life compiling 50+ posts a day and usually about nothing worth wile. You know these guys, the ones who registered last week and have 2480 posts allready. Thoes who need to let everyone know everytime they think about a choice, decision or lack there of.
#1: Discuss...
- This my 'worst offender' of the list, my #1. I simply can not stand when someone posts a link, picture, or simple statment and puts "discuss" at the bottom. Like they are some sort of mediator taking note of the ensuing discussion brought about by there thought provoking inspiration. Like I/we are some sort of a guinea pig in there think tank experiment.
Anyway, list if you will some of your 'worst offender' message board violations, and see if we can not make the message board expierence a better place, one member at a time.
