Things you have done to save a card?

After asking my mom for 3 days if I had gotten any mail and her telling me no, I made a statement to my dad like I wonder when my Descalso 1/999 is going to get here. He tells me I got it 2 days ago, so I go ask my mom and she goes you came up here and got it I thought. I said no you have told me every day I had not gotten mail. She then tells me that she probably threw it away, our trash gets taken out every night because we dont want our dog getting into it. So I just spent 30 minutes digging through garbage bags to find my card. It is now safely inside of my house. What is the weirdest thing you have done to save a card?

I dug threw the garbage once after I accidentally threw out some stuff. I recovered everything that I was missing.

Didn't get saved as it got damaged to all hell, but I had a 2007 Sweet Spot gold ink Jonathan Papelbon auto that my cat got a hold of some how. I didn't find it until I changed the kitty litter box to find it out of the snap case, bitten to all hell and looking half like a piece of almond roca :evil: Glad to say JP did rise in value but I now keep everything in a team bag and in a box under the bed.

Back when this card mattered, my dog got at it. So a couple of us on the old BMB made the best out of it and had it graded. Thing is, I ALWAYS lose the damn picture of the actual graded card and can never remember which member had it.

3.5 or something. They gave it a special lable too: "Dog Bite Contest" or something weird.

Looks like a 3.5, as there is a 3.5 of that card in the pop report
