But let's say the LeBron sells for something completely insane, like 15k.

How many cards, non rookies or cuts, sell for that?

That'll make headlines, or should at least and will grab people's attention ESPECIALLY if the non hobby media catches on.

But if this LeBron sells for around what it's at now, then there's no reason to try it again.

When I've seen sports cards in non-sports card media, they've sold for Honus Wagner-esque money.

I think the only one that hasn't fit that category is the Stras super.

Topps tried doing this with 8 players in 2010 Bowman Platinum I believe. I am about 75% sure that the redemption was never honored, which is crazy because I think it was sticker autos.

I'll always have these treasures - you were supposed to rip them apart at the perforations, then load them into the insert cards. Essentially making your own sticker autos, without the adhesive.

Not even sure what the print run is on these, I would guess around 50. Only decent player I know of in the set is Ryan Howard.
