I don't even know what to say. It just sucks....

The companies tried to put packs into blister packs... didn't work.

I would assume that most Hobby shop settings don't allow pack searching so maybe it really is time for Topps ect to stop putting any hits into retail products.

This ruins the chase for a little kid.

Just think of a little kid who goes to wal mart once a week with his dad and his dad buys him 3 or 4 packs every single time. They continue to buy 2-4 packs every week, just to find out that one box that had 1 jersey card per box was searched the day it was opened.

BUY HOBBY!

If you think 100% or even 50% of hobby packs aren't searched you are being a bit naive. The solution is with
the card companies, and they have proved that they don't care about it. I honestly think that the card companies
make it so that they have to only sell 4 or 5 packs out of a box to cover costs in retail. The rest is icing on the cake.

This is why I would encourage no one to buy packs...

unless you keep your packs behind the counter and pull them for your customers when they are buying some, you can't
say 100% for sure. If the temptation is there people will bite. We can put a man on the moon but topps can't figure
out how to make the decoy cards bend the same as the GU cards? and whats up with retail packs that we can see
through? That has to be done on purpose right?

Not sure if this would work but what if we all found his user ID and we all bought one or 2 of his hot packs. Then we all file item not as described and claimed there was no auto or game used???
How can he really prove they are in there without opening them??? With tons of people saying they didn't get it eBay will have to side with the buyers especially if there are multiple people saying it wasn't a hot pack. I know it's not very honest but screw this guy. And we can all donate the cards to a good cause.

Unfortunately its a part of our hobby. Buy boxes. Never buy loose retail packs. Only buy loose packs from hobby owners who you trust. The way it has been for years.

I've always wanted to do this to some buyers to teach them a lesson, but never have. Too much work, even though its not really any work at all.

If you find his i.d. I'd consider doing it

I guess I understand how someone can "feel" a jersey or patch card but how could someone possibly know that a pack has an autograph?? Theres no way you can feel raised ink or something...

Yep, that's him. The Ebay seller's location is Morrisville, NC, which is where he says (and shows) he is from on his vids where he opens mail from UD.

I can't believe how much I just learned about pack searching just now from watching a bunch of Youtube vids. It's pretty amazing that the manufacturers use clear wrappers and many times, the searchers can determine what card the hit is by seeing the card number, then determining whether to keep or sell the pack. The funniest part is seeing a couple of them pull decoys and how they all think of themselves as cool.
