Overnight, insured, sig confirm. FedEx, with possible private insurance on top of it.

Offering $15 shipping on this is like offering free shipping; you know you're going to take some of it off the top of your profit margin. Either way, she's made money on the transaction at this point, and it's a pretty nice profit for owning the card less than a year.

Much larger transactions than these occur on eBay and the buyer and seller never meet face to face.

How much did she originally pay?

As for the face to face, if I'm dropping 26k+, I would have no problems meeting with the seller to complete the transaction if they are willing. We can meet at their local branch and I would wire transfer the funds. Both parties IMO would be happy, they have funds, I have my merchandise in hand, we shake hands and part ways.

Exactly, and that's probably what a lot of people would do, just offer free shipping. The seller knows it'll cost more than $15 to ship. At the end of the day, what's $100+ to ship out of the $26k+ it's selling for? I'd gladly eat the shipping costs too...

I actually thought that if I was lucky enough to pull a high dollar card I'd probably do something similar.
Figure that it's just easy to put in a cost that would cover overnight, supplies a shipping box etc. and then eat whatever insurance cost that the final value fee would determine.
