he states in the auction it was purchased through donruss so its never been released

Q: Is that a bat piece on the card, or is it a photo of the bat piece. And, are the jersey and bat game used items? Thanks Apr-12-09
A: its a actual bat piece with pinstripe jersey, are they game used, i don t know, its doesnt say, this is from the donruss vaults ,when they auctioned off a ton , of items, including rare proto types, never intended to be released, i asked the seller i got it from a few years ago, and thats all he could tell me, but look up donruss vault auction, or donruss looses mlb license auctions, on the internet, for more info, but thats all he told me years ago, its just a super rare ,weird unique piece to add to your collection thanks

Lol, fake as all get out. Nice con by the seller. The barrel looks to be from a mini-bat... and for sure not an older bat. Not that I need any more proof than the simple front of the card, but the lack of text on the back is also a dead giveaway.

Those would have made a nice set...but yea, it can't be real.

Wow, check out his other auctions!

Alex Gordon "Rare 2006 Gold" - http://cgi.ebay.com/ALEX-GORDON-RARE-20 ... dZViewItem

Rachel McAdams "Auto" (There's no auto) memorabilia card with a BV of $200, so rare there's none on eBay. I checked, there is. I can't say what the BV really is, perhaps somebody else would know. - http://cgi.ebay.com/RACHEL-MCADAMS-NOTE ... dZViewItem

*Completed auction* A lot of 2 of his "Alex Gordon 06 Topps Gold" - http://cgi.ebay.com/ALEX-GORDON-RARE-20 ... dZViewItem

THIS GUY IS SCUM.

Really, the Gordons look legit. So does the Exquisite patch auto. They do put some ridiculous patches in those. Obviously, the others including the Ruth, are horrendous fakes.

The Irons isn't a 1/1. It's not even an "ebay 1/1" based on the numbering (hate the term, but using it for explanation's sake).

Perhaps I am remembering the blank gold Gordon... I'll have to look for a scan of one. If somebody has a legit one and could post it/PM it for me, that would be great.

Seems like here is the proof. [ebay:sop92t3l]110369473270[/ebay:sop92t3l]
Notice how the Musial has the "Authentic Game-Worn... etc." along the jersey pieces. Someone's getting ripped.

Also there is not supposed to be a black frame around the jersey swatch. Major Fraud!

If he sells anything fake it's enough for me never to buy anything from him.

Haha this is in the description:

THE ONLY BLEMISH IS ON THE SURFACE AND IT WAS STRAIGHT FROM THE FACTORY, WHEN THIS CARD WAS BEING PRESSED THE INK LEFT A SMALL LINE IN THE MID-CENTER ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE FRONT OF THE CARD. SINCE THIS WAS A FACTORY FLAW AND NOT ONE OF WEAR AND TEAR I WOULD BELIEVE THIS CARD WILL STILL GRADE OUT WONDERFULLY.

If anyone believes that - I've got a few nice cards where the picture is very off center, but it was printed like that at the factory, so I'm sure it will still grade great! Any interest? ;)
