You're right, it's hockey and a Leafs player, you HAVE to sell to Canadians if you want to get top dollar for it.

Awesome pick up!! I was watching it to see what it went for. You got yours less then what I paid for mine so great pick up at a good price.

Wow $17 for a 05/06 scripted swatch numbered to 10? Awesome deal, no matter who the player. Salming has his fair share of collectors though. I dont know if anyone in the States does it, but ive always said someone can make some easy money on flipping cards like this. Buy from a seller like this that only ships his Hockey cards to US buyers. Put the card back up for auction but open up to international bidders. Of course we all know that Canada loves their Hockey cards but there is also a strong group of Hockey collectors overseas in countries like Sweden, Czech Republic, Russia, Finland Etc and they love their home grown players like Salming. I bet this cards sells for more than double if open to the World.

Seeing things likes this makes me think it would be worthwhile to rent a post office box in the US. I should broswe the US only listings more often!

if anyone that lives in Canada ever needs someone in the US to bid on an item please feel free to let me know via PM and I will snipe it for you and mail it to you if you win.

I have done this numerous times for Jesse thefatguy.

Gotta love sellers who narrow their customer base like that. I have a couple friends in the US that do the same for me on cards that won't ship to Canada or if the s&h is outrageous. I've picked up a few PC steals that way.

Some people have either heard horror stories of cross border shipping or have been through a bad experience. And there are some who are just too accustomed to receiving cards with DC in 3 days and cannot understand the delay times or increased costs. No matter the reason it can only benefit the buyers on final sale values.

Stupid question...is it possible to search for only US sellers selling to US members? I thought searching on ebay.com would do the trick but the results include US sellers shipping to Canada as well. I just wanted to take a peak and see if there were any other steals :).

i don't know anyway to do that either. The thing is, is its really something you got to keep track of over time. Some sellers list that they only ship to US, but when you contact them and ask if they ship to Canada, i find that usually 75% of them say "No Problem, ill ship to Canada". So those sellers dont really count because im sure im not the only one who is contacting them to see if they will ship out of the US. I don't know if they do this to sort of "screen" out of country buyers, but i noticed a lot of the sellers do just this.
