This is the kind of idiocy that gives this hobby/business a bad name....

I don't think it gives the Business a bad name, just this Seller.

Hopefully, no Noob bites...

It's the proliferation of this kind of thing that's giving the business a bad name.

This type of idiotic listing practice has been steadily increasing over the last few years, and leads to the more clueless buyers out there thinking EVERYTHING is now worth gold the minute a player has one good game.

If I see a listing like that on craigslist, it's good for a laugh; on ebay, which for good or bad has now become the marketplace barometer, it's annoying at best.

Maybe I should ask him If he'll trade everything in his listings for the Luck /150 my brother pulled last week?

I think that anyone who would drop anywhere close to $1K on a card would know how to check "Completed Listings" before buying...

I'm more upset when a Dealer, in person, tells someone that a card like this is worth Hundreds when an inexperienced Buyer is more likely to trust them and has no way to check the price themself. Good dealers help the Hobby grow, but lousy dealers hurt it alot more than some lousy Seller.

That's where the Hobby's bad apples come from IMO...

Eh, auctions like this are good for a little chuckle but nobody should really care. All that happens is a link to his auction gets posted here and probably other forums, now he will get more views on his other items.

I was at a show recently and a seller had a Larry Bird rookie PSA 10. I asked how much and he said 20K. So...it's a shame that people are doing that type of thing but it is what it is.

I saw a PSA 8 jerry rice RC on eBay for $600. I wrote the seller telling him its only a $80 card and a PSA 9 sells for about $300. He dropped the price to only $350, and thanked me since he started getting inquiries. I tried, but I guess this guy is just clueless. Hope no one got sucked in.
