The cards are great, no doubt. That you are carrying on your Dad's legacy is equally so. Well done all around.

Sorry y'all I've been lazy today. I have a job interview tomorrow. I'll post the rest of the '62's before I go. I'm going to stop using my crappy camera phone and break out the camera.

Maine of course......
Wow, that is amazing!! Curious, how did you and your dad acquire most of these- TTM, shows, games? Any good stories about how you tracked down certain signatures?

Good luck with the last 15 or so.

Most were at games. He also got quite a few back ttm in the 60's and 70's. I know one of the Mantles he got at a show where we had Mantle.

The two coolest stories I know.

Steve Bilko- It took almost a year to get them back. Maybe cool is the wrong word here, but my Dad had given up in getting it back. The day that Mr. Bilko died, the cards were in the mail.

Roger Maris- sent him a letter, to his business address, asking him if it would be okay to send something for him to sign. Maris was his favorite player growing up. Maris responded with " Thank you for being a fan, I will sign anything you send me."

awesome stories and a awesome set!! I sold an almost complete signed 1965 topps set a year ago (missing about only 20 cards). I am currently working on the 1953 Bowman Color, 1954, 1960 + 1968 Topps sets signed. Although they are more challenging to complete, I find working on them more enjoyable than prospecting.

chromerookies I have a few 100 signed cards from each year. From 49-75. It was my dads goal to complete them all. But this was back in '75. He gave up in most. I'd be more than happy to take at a list of what you need.
Cheers

My dad had 3. Sold 2 to collector in the 80's. Maybe it's one of them! :)
