Not really trying to defend the seller, especially after his response. But he doesn't have any other patches that are fake, current or closed auctions. I would assume that he actually bought a large collection and that was in it. He appears to be a football guy so he might not realize it is/was fake.

I know that if I bought a large baseball collection and a few football cards were in it, I probably wouldn't be able to tell you what was a real or fake.
I believe that this is no doubt the case here.

The seller's other auctions do not imply in anyway that he was the originator of this fake.

That's obviously one of the huge problem with fakes...the chain of command can be fairly removed, but there are so many soulless tools on eBay making thousands by duping donkeys.

not to take sides between adam and josh, but josh is right. before coming to this site, when i was just browsing ebay, i would see these fake patches and thought they are pretty sweet. maybe i was uninformed, but i never checked to see where the cards were coming from (i.e. who were known fakers) and i didn't know that donruss labeled each card according to what it was. (jersey, prime, etc) i didn't even see that on the auctions. i had no idea patches were faked before seeing this site, and like joh said, many people do not know of sites like these/visit these sites, so your average collector is buying these. sucks, but that's the way it works.
