I owned these for over two years up until last week... I sold them between $2-7 a piece (Jonathan Sanchez BC Green Refractors /225).

Impossible to predict a no-hitter though, especially from a guy like Sanchez who really hasn't even established himself in the Majors as an elite pitcher.



That's generally why I try to hold a thing or two of certain players I have bigger stashes of. I find that generally you can make enough money on your stash by selling 50%-75% of it to be able to 1) cover all of your investment and 2) make a large profit above that. For a stash of greens like that, I probably would have held onto 3 or 5 of them in case of something like this. If you made all your money back and then some, what do you have to lose holding onto a couple 2-7 dollar cards?

I'm sure you still made solid money on all those greens anyway though, so as much as it sucks, it's hard to argue with making money. Win some, lose some.

I've had a pretty rough year so far. I've picked some good players ,but given up on them to early.

I pretty much gave up on Sanchez after he got sent to the bullpen.

I owned 55 Casey McGehee BC Green Refractor's ,but sold them after a hot spring training. Who would have known Bill Hall was going to get hurt and he was going to catch fire.

I've just been a little off this year.

Yea, I figure it cost me about $1100 in profit. That's if I could have sold them all around $30.

The 55 McGehee's are getting about $15 a piece. Cost me about $700 in profit selling to early.

On a positive note. I purchased 50 Andre Johnson '03 BC Blue's over the winter at $7 a piece. The last one sold for $31 shipped on Ebay.
