[h=1]Sports Card Hotlist for July 14th 2013[/h] Posted on July 13, 2013 by Corry Gross
Chris Davis Autographs
Davis was recently on the Hotlist, but his cards keep climbing after he has hit 36 home runs before the All-Star break. If he keeps up his tremendous pace, he could hit the 62 home run mark and people can say, “Hey, he did that steroid-free.” His 2008 Elite autographs are up over $70 after selling for $50 a couple of weeks ago. A 2007 Elite autograph /25 (pictured) recently sold for $***.

2011 Bowman Chrome Draft George Springer Autographs
George Springer is on the way to winning Minor League Player of the Year if he keeps hitting like he has been. The outfielder is hitting .315 with 26 home runs combined in Double-A and Triple-A. To add on top of that, he also has 28 steals. Since being promoted to Triple-A, he is hitting .404 with 7 home runs in just 17 games. Springer was also named number one on Baseball America‘s Prospect Hotlist. His 2011 Bowman Chrome autographs are selling for between $50-$60 and they were only around $30 last week. His 2010 USA autographs have also seen a nice jump.
2011 Bowman Chrome Jarred Cosart Autographs
The Astros’ future continues to look bright, and Jarred Cosart showed that on Friday night when he pitched 8 shutout innings, while only giving up two hits against the Rays in his Major League debut. 2011 Bowman Chrome autographs were selling for around $7 last week and immediately after his debut, they were selling for between $20-$30.

2013 Bowman Chrome Byron Buxton Autographs
After being named the number one mid-season prospect by Baseball America and by tearing it up in the Minor Leagues, Byron Buxton autographs have shot up significantly. 2013 Bowman Chrome autographs are up to $160 after selling for $130 the previous week. A gold refractor autograph /50 sold for almost $1,000 and sold for $900 the week before.
2009 Donruss Elite Extra Edition Josh Phegley Autographs
Josh Phegley made his debut with Chicago White Sox, and he started it with a bang. Phegley has hit three home runs in just five games. He also hit a go-ahead grand slam against the Tigers on Thursday, and collectors noticed. His Elite autographs /100 went up from $5-$10 to now selling for $30.

2010 Bowman Chrome Draft Manny Machado Autographs
Machado is on his way to surpassing the all-time doubles record in Major League Baseball. The sweet-swinging Machado is hitting .314 with 7 home runs. Machado was named an AL All-Star for Tuesday’s game. His 2010 Bowman Chrome autographs are now up over $200 after selling for around $130 just one month ago. Even BGS 9.5s are up over $300.

2013 Bowman Retail Danny Salazar Autographs
Like Cosart, Danny Salazar also had a stellar Major League debut. Salazar pitched 6 innings for the Indians and struck out 7, while only giving up one run. Salazar was lighting up the radar gun with his 99 mph fastball. His 2013 Bowman retail autographs were up to the $15 mark after only selling for a buck or two the previous week.

2010 Bowman Chrome Grant Green Autographs
It’s been a long time coming for Grant Green, who was drafted in 2009, but he finally got a long-awaited big league call-up. He was batting .318 with 11 home runs in Triple-A. Green will play mostly second base for the A’s. Shortly after his call-up, his cards garnished a lot of attention. Base autographs were selling for $5 last week and many buy it nows were being hit shortly after his call-up.

I can live with making good money on prospects around callup time or right before like with Trout or Machado and watching them go way up after time in the bigs. No way I take chances on holding when the irons are hot.

But damn, selling my Springers a month ago hurts.

That is exactly why I sold. I figured making $10-15 on an auto of his was going to be best case scenario.

I would've made a killing if I didn't sell my stash last year. Oh well still made a lil money off him
