I've never been so excited about watching a basketball game. Last time I recall feeling this way about a sporting event was when McGwire broke Maris's record. Lin was unreal. I read his story about a month ago but had no idea he has the ability to be a superstar.

Ya I felt the same way. The atmosphere he creates is amazing.

Call me nutso but I don't think I'd be selling Lin right now. If he keeps it up, the NT /99 will come close to 2K.

That's just plain stupid. If you are in for $20, why wouldn't you sell now?

That's a near sighted view of flipping. Ask all of those people that sold the NT 2 days ago in the $250-$300 range if they wished they could have held out for the $999 sale last night, or the multiple $600+ sales. Bottom line, it absolutely doesn't matter how much you have invested in a card, it's where you think the peak is going to be, and with Lin stuff doubling every 24 hours (it definately won't continue to grow exponentially as that would be outrageous), why would NT prices stop at where they are right now? If you feel confident in Lin's ability to play, and you are certain he is the real deal, now isn't the time to sale. If you think he'll be a flash in the pan, soon to flame out, yeah dump while you can.

Not into basketball and have never seen him play so honest question:
Is this just as likely to come to a crashing halt tomorrow or is this guy really this talented and the whole undrafted and twice released thing just bad scouting?

I think it's bad scouting. Last night was the first time I watched him play. He's not the quickest guy, but he is shifty. He was getting to the rim at will and was knocking down open shots at key moments. Jon Barry put it perfectly last night though. I'm not too sure if it's going to work when Anthony comes back. Right now, the Knicks are playing great when the ball is in Lin's hands, but Melo is a one on one player that demands the ball. Unfortunatley that type of style doesn't win games unless your name is Michael Jordan, but without Carmelo and with Lin starting (except for his first break out game), the Knicks are 4-0.

Found a Longevity RC of Lin in a shoebox, listed it for 24.99 free ship, got hit in 32 mins. I may have went too low but I don't care, it's 25 dollars I thought i'd never see.

I agree, if I had some extra money to gamble with I'd be buying up his NT autos at $600-1k. I think it has a good shot at going for $2k+ in the near future, the high end basketball market is unlike any of the other sports. I don't think I'd hold them too long though.

These new prices established today are LIN SANE..

Just today it continues to climb..

$1950
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2010-11-Nationa ... 4ab3fc36c4

$1825
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2010-2011-Natio ... 2c62f9652d

$1650
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2010-2011-Natio ... 2c62f5a4af

$1450
http://www.ebay.com/itm/HOT-Jeremy-Lin- ... 2319cd9c19

$1100
http://www.ebay.com/itm/HOT-Jeremy-Lin- ... 2319cd9c19

This is a progression of the prices realized today, $1100 was earlier in the day and the last one to sell was nearly $2000...WOW

LIN BABY LIN...

IMO it doesn't even stop here:
Key Factors:
1. A New York market hungry for someone to cling to , (believe me I've been a part of it for over 25 years in the hobby)
2. Untapped asian and worldwide markets that will also drive the card,
3. A smart humble kid that has an endearing personality
4. The ultimate underdog story...
5.In my opinion basketball cards jump in price like no other cards

I think if the hobby and the world fall in love with this kid at the rate they are doing so it could be a 2001 Bowman Chrome Pujols type card....EASILY....!!!! Just INSANE and Awesome!!
