Thome will finish with 600 homeruns. .400+ OBP and .560 slugging percentages are excellent. Those alone should get him in. In fact, Thome's career OPS is similar to Alex Rodriguez. I don't think it's even up for debate.

Thome is still playing and will only add to his numbers. I dont know what really will happen but I hope both make it.

Just to hammer home the point, Thome will end up with decent totals of 600+ homeruns, 1700+ RBI's. But, his production is truly amazing:
His 162 game averages are 551 at-bats, 41 homeruns, and 112 RBI's while Alex Rodriguez's 162 game averages are 624 at-bats, 44 homeruns, 127 RBI's. The reason Thome never amassed the truly amazing totals (although 600 homeruns is still pretty damn good) is that he (like Bonds) was getting walked 120 times a year while Alex Rodriguez was getting 600+ at-bats a year. His offensive production is just as good as Arod's or Griffey's. You can't penalize someone because they were feared by the pitchers or because their batting eye was too good. Outside of driving in runs, hitting homeruns, and getting on base, what else do you expect your #3 or #4 hitter to do?
