School lunches have never been on my NICE list!

Growing up, our school was known for the chili. It was common to have multiple parents call and say they were going to eat lunch with their kid on the chili days.

I was a picky eater ---one year I doubt I ate at school 30 times .Had one teacher that tried to require me to eat food I DIDN'T eat at home ---second time dad said try to force him . When I got to HS money was always short = eat or drive car .

The boys prefer I pack their lunches I'd say 95% of the time. It's generally the same thing- turkey/ham and cheese sandwich, chips, cookies, and whatever fruit we have at the house that day. They both like to eat when it's chicken nuggets/strips and corn dogs. Pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, and a few other things are hit or miss. Bennett likes to eat breakfast at school when they have biscuits and gravy though

small town closes down most roads for festival tonight ----longest line was for a bathroom LOL.

I miss being able to eat all the stuff I like. I have a soft food diet

Maiden , NC has ONE main road East /West . at least four barber shops ,one fast food place , Rail Road tracks not in use = was in main town .If HS football game in town = NO TRAFFIC on main road . Everybody knows everybody LOL
