Thanks George. Up until about 3 months ago, I loved my job. It's changed out there, and not for the better. I need something different, even if it requires a small pay cut.

Good Luck Steve
And small pay cut is not the only thing you give up when you move. Vacation time of you have Ike 3 weeks or more. Travel time to new job could be longer, costing more in wear and tear on vehicle.
Maybe not being a right fit at new job.

Oh I'm a Debbie Downer :p

Good morning all. Went and played bingo last night with the family. It was me, my mom, my sister, my grandma, and my cousin. The only winner in the group was my sister, who won $25. Can't complain though since it was her birthday. My cousin was hooked though lol. He's 19, so he's now just able to play. He wants to play more often now

Well, vacation time is one of the reasons I am looking for a new job.

In February I was supposed to roll into the 10 year vacation plan. That's 160 hours per year. Sometime between January and February they cal hanged my benefit date, and took 22 months away from me. So I'm back at 8 years instead of 10. I brought this to HR's attention two weeks ago, and they've been "looking" to try to find out why. I have no answer yet. This was the final straw for me. This job I'm looking at. $2/hr pay cut and same vacation time I am at right now. They have the same healthcare plan that Cessna does. The main difference is this. Where I'm at now, at Cessna, is where I'll be in 10 years. There's no rungs left on the ladder. This interview is for a position which will allow me to gain back my $2, in a year, plus leave me room for advancement.

Yes, but Cat reported earning growth and gave you direct credit for this increase.

Way to go, Richard!

Heard on the radio that today's Phillies lineup is the 1st since they won the World Series to not have a player in the lineup who played that year.

Interview went well. Said I should hear from them b Tuesday. It's a much smaller company Han Cessna, so they have to decide if they can afford me.

They wanted to speak to me first, because my salary request is significantly higher than what they normally pay. I bring pretty significant experience, in every facet of their company, for someone my age and without a college education. So...they're interested, but don't want to ruffle feathers amongst the current employees.

Are the current employees birds?

 why did this not happen before the interview?
