Here's the thing with pro-athletes and other famous people. You are only 13-15, and it's probably difficult for you to understand at your age, but I was once in your position. To you, the player is really significant in your life, because you grow up with him. It's almost like he's your friend, because you see him on TV so much.

However, it's important to know that he's a human being, with the same needs as any of you. He probably is on facebook to keep up with friends and to chat with a few people close to him. In all likelihood, he wants to be a normal teenager or early-twenties kid and relax. Baseball is somewhat of a job to him.

He may have had a moment to socialize with you, in the beginning. However, if you are asking him to comment on the organization, you are putting him in a difficult position, especially because he is a member of the organization. And it's not just you asking him questions. It's you and 200 other fans, that he simply hasn't the time to deal with.

Knowing people with facebook celebrity status, I have learned that no two people are alike. There are VPs of political organizations who will chat with you, and there are local coordinators who are too busy. It all depends upon the person. You need to understand for several of these guys, they simply don't have the time to be interviewed by everyone, especially not a stranger.

Sad to say, but you don't mean nearly as much to these athletes as they mean to you. They will just see you as another kid. Be grateful to the guy for friending you, be mad that he deleted you, and find another player to friend. But the best thing in life is to do not live vicariously through these athletes, but to make a life for yourself.

not one of my fav's IP . did get auto

You somehow relate every single thread to the fact that you get IP autographs.

(expecting a story on how some Pirate once told you the same thing IP)

You look through everything everyone here posts and either have a smartass comment or point out the things they do that you cant seem to let go without a comment on.

(expecting a smartass comment or to have something I do pointed out to me)

And? Tell me something I don't know..[/quote:2fh16wd8]

Enjoy your vacation. Please come back with a new look on life.

Friended him on Facebook and he accepted. I messaged him thanks for accepting me and he said "NP, Glad to have fans as friends."

Then I asked him a question "How do you like the organization?"

Five minutes later he deleted me as a friend! What did I do? Not like I asked for an auto or anything. All I asked was a legit formal question. Whats his problem? If he doesn't want to deal with fans then A. Why be on Facebook? and B. Why accept me in the 1st place

If it's no problem and he likes having FANS as friends, it makes no sense to delete you for acting LIKE A FAN...He's a Jerk. I wouldn't get too upset about it, there are other players that actually appreciate fans.

Perhaps he just made a mistake if he was cleaning up his friends list. No biggie. Just wait a few days, relax, and then ask to be a fan again.

Did he simply unfriend you, or did he block you? Search his name, and if it disappeared on facebook, then you'll find out.

I went to Tim Beckham's 1st proffesional game, Cyclones @ Renegades. I got 3 autos of him, combined in the stadium before the game, but after the game outside the stadium. Tim signed of awhile, and did take a picture with me below, I thought he was nice, he took alotta time to sign autos for everyone.
