Wow, I would have said that sold for a whole lot. I collect Lincey too, but I wouldn't think he's had a HOF career yet and am not 100% he will, even without injury potential being in the picture.

Sold the card a few days ago and I miss it already!

I personally think it sold for cheap compared to the big money dropped down for these "elite prospects" that haven't accomplished anything yet.

Lincecum's career so far is HOF status, he is a proven player........imagine if Sandy Koufax had a rookie card #'ed 1 Of 1? How much would that go for? lol
miss it all you want, you pulled $6k out of the card. go buy a used car ;)

 Wow nice sale but was wossa the buyer? He's the only one I could think of that would drop that much coin on a single card.

That is an amazing sale on a modern card, particularly from a set that has no pedigree in baseball cards. Lincecum still could end up being Ron Guidry, so I wouldn't think twice about moving that card.

What he has done in his first 3 years is unprecedented in history.
3x All-Star
2x Cy Young winner back-to-back
World Series Champion
3x Strikeout Title Winner (Only the 2nd player since WW2 to win it back-to-back-to-back)

So I can see the reasoning behind the price, but it is still pretty high.

Lincecum has quite a few 1/1 auto RC's just from that set, correct?

Correct. Atleast 5 or 6.

He has 36 1/1's from 2007 Exquisite. Some are multi player.
But none with 4 patches like this one. This would be the most desirable of them all.

It seems this is his most expensive card - can anyone verify?

I wouldn't bet on that! First we need to find out if it's a legit sale...

You never know when it might pop up again on ebay with a 6K BIN and BO.

Buyer: Why is it so much?

Seller: Because that's what it sold for on EBAY!

Buyer: Oh ok sounds good.

Seller: Yeah I know right.

Buyer: So what's the lowest you can do?

Seller: Well it did sell for 6K so since today is a special holiday I will give you a great deal, how does $4,500 sound?

Buuyer: How about 4K(buyer thinking he's going to pull a fast one)

Seller: Oh ok, I can do that. I'll be loosing out on $1,500 but I NEED to sell...

Think you get the picture. :o

Yes. His BC Super auto sold for $4k.

The Super might sell for more today, but it won't be available, probably ever

I thought you got an incredible price for the card. Congrats on the sale, you did very well.

Besides, it's a sticker auto anyways, so it has a more limited collector base.
