Well guys this sums it up. As you can see there is no debating this guy. He is correct no matter what and you are wrong, and you should just admit he is the smartest guy EVER.

Sorry but you sure came off as someone in their teens. What you don't seem to understand is that this is not a black/white issue. It is an open to debate. However when you start your first post calling anyone that supports weed a ******* you have just lost all credability and have taken your debating skills down to the level of a teenager.

Has anybody ever tried to do a physical activity high? Such as play baseball, since it was brought up that he might smoke before a game to calm his nerves.

In my memory of smoking, I don't think I ever tried to play any sports while high. But I don't think I would have been able to, I would have just wanted to "chill" and bs with my buddies, watch a movie, etc. and probably wouldn't be able to handle the physical activity.

Yes I have done many physical activites high, the problem is that you burn off the high as soon as you start.

Actually it was brought up that I was a teenager.That was what I was referring to when I mentioned the house.

As far as everything else you said...cool beans.I am glad you have all that.I base my idea that you have to be a ******* to smoke weed because of the consequences of smoking it.I guess all of you work for companies that don't do random drugs tests.Next thing you will probably tell me is there is a way to beat the test or whatever.Maybe you have never had to apply for a job either.Maybe you have and they don't drug test like every job I have applied for.Whatever the case...you could be losing some of what you have because of your bad habits.The same could go with alcohol or cigarettes but at least if you don't do those heavily, and not at work, you can still have a job and won't go to jail or won't get a ticket for doing them as long as you stay within the legal limits while out in public(in alcohol's case).

You can be high achieving even if you smoke pot occasionally. I don't think there's anything wrong with most things in moderation. Most companies out there that don't drug test whatsoever. I've only taken 1 drug test ever in the 12 years that I've been working, and I passed it. I don't smoke pot all the time, but I've been known to have a **** or two a year.

That's all I have to say about this - for all the kids out there - make sure you get your stuff together and don't do anything in excess.

While a pitcher isn't running a marathon, they're still subject to a decent amount of physical activity. If you've never pitched in a game, I understand if you don't realize the physical strain through the course of a game.

Not to mention he's in the NL, so he bats/base runs as well.

* I haven't smoked it in about 4 years and I wouldn't now.
* If it was legal, I would smoke it on occasion.

I'm a conservative republican that feels:
- It should be legalized.
- Taxed at 25% (20% Federal, 5% State)
- If alcohol is legal, then Marijuana should be

Lincecum was stupid to get caught. If you are going to do it, fine, but be smart. There is no reason for anyone to ever get caught in the act.

Other than that, I'm more shocked that this thread is 21 pages long than to hear that a young athlete got caught with weed.

My biggest problem with this thread is the mentality that pro-marijuana members are spreading a "truth." It's even been suggested it's being done for the kids. Give me a break. The only people who have that right are the parents of the child.

For a bunch of folks who get upset when a football card is shown on the baseball forum, this is a joke...talk about OT. It's one thing to report on a current event involving a baseball player. It's completely different to make a ludicrous poll about drug use and act as if a habit is something to be proud of or that it makes one part of some 'cool' club. If that's the reason you choose to use is so you can tell everyone about it, it's laughable.

If you are an adult and you choose to use illegal substances, that's your prerogative and I truthfully don't care if you do. HOWEVER, you aren't doing some public service by sharing your "secrets" or the "facts" about drug use.

Obviously, these are my opinions and the personal habits of FCB members aren't going to change my stance on members I believe to be trustworthy or not...but there are many arguments as to why this thread doesn't belong here, not just the "negatives" of marijuana use.

Henry Schulman is reporting that prosecutors in Clark County, Wash., have dropped the drug charge against Lincecum and the two sides have agreed that Lincecum will pay fines related to drug paraphanelia and the speeding charge.

(Schulman updates: The judge still has to sign off on the deal.)

First offense, I would think it gets dropped.

I bet the majority of the public forgives an athlete who get's caught with a bit of weed rather than PEDs.

I am not sure that you share all my opinions and I will assume you don't but thanks for at least being calmer and getting at the point I was trying to get at.I am tired of people making it out like weed is cool.I wouldn't do that with anything like drugs.I like to drink but would never act like its not a bad habit or that its not harmful.I am tired of people acting like its not bad.
