I know he wasn't very well loved by a lot of folks, but I thought he was great.

Also was Steve Carlton's "personal" catcher, both for StL and then Philly.

I think he was also Bob Gibson's favorite catcher too, if I remember correctly...

I loved Timmy as an announcer other than the last couple years with the Cardinals. You could tell he wasn't well.
