I love the Damage Ink cards and I am thinking about getting one signed by McGwire. In blue hopefully

Where you finding McGwire at?Winter Warmup? What about red?
Hopefully he is there. I will wait for a private signing. If not I think me and my dad may hit up ST before we go on a cruise. I think red will fade quicker.

Was he at Winter Warmup last year?If so, I wonder how much?I don't see why red would fade anymore than any other color.
No. Not on an official signing thing. He was there in 2010 right after they picked him up as the hitting coach not signing. He talked and the room was ELECTRIC. He came out to Welcome to the Jungle and it was NUTS. The place went crazy, it was like Guns and Roses had just walked in. He signed probably 8 autographs inside and said he was going over to the stadium to work with Rasmus. Game on.......We stood in the cold (about 21 degrees or lower than that) for 3 1/2 hours (I was wearing a Tshirt and got a cold 2 days later im sure it was completly unrelated  ) We was out there with 10 other people 2 hours in 4 of them left 3 hours in 2 more left. i was wearing a McGwire jersey and he came over after coming out of the stadium....he was riding with Barry Weinburg (team doctor). I had a baseball my dad had his kings poster (see my sig) He signed my ball beautifully perfect autograph and then when I said that the steroid thing was not a big deal and that I was still a fan no matter what he got a little emotional. I said we waited 3 hours just to get this oppurtunity he said thanks it means alot sorry I took so long. He asked if he had signed everything we had for him to sign (no but not going to make him stand there any longer than he need to) Super super nice that day.

Awesome experience.I knew he was there to talk to the media, just didn't know if he was at Winter Warmup to sign.Your sig is sweet as hell, your dad got all 3 players to sign that?I'm glad everyone, at least for the most part in the STL, has accepted McGwire for what he did, and moved on.I haven't even heard anymore about it when the team travels anymore.Wow, that's admirable you froze your ass off for over 3 hours outside the stadium to meet McGwire.

Anyone recall back in the day Leaf/Fleer would randomly insert hot packs in their boxes?Hot packs were a complete set of inserts packed inside the box.I actually bought 6 boxes of '94 Leaf (3 of each series), and hit one hot pack, a whole set of the Statistical Standout cards.Too bad I couldn't have hit the Gold Leaf Stars or Slideshow hot pack. The Slideshow cards have some cool game cel inside them and the Gold Leaf Stars are numbered to 10000.Remember when a print run of 10000 was rare?

These were Griffey loaded boxes. You can only see a couple in the pictures, but I actually hit 6 of the Statistical Standouts of him, and 3 of the Power Brokers.Only hit about 1-2 of all the other players.

'96 Fleer Ultra Series 2.Fleer packed some real punch in these, one Gold Medallion and another insert in every pack.I bought some '98 I posted earlier here, and they really cut back the value.I also hit a nice Bonds die cut insert that was 1:288, but I threw it in another box, and don't feel like digging it out.

He was a hero to me when he was a Cardinal before Pujols. In 2001 I became a Pujols fan. It was'nt bad after that pen touched the baseball it was awesome I forgot all about the cold. Me and my dad used to try after Cardinals games when he played to get his autograph but he had some story that he almost ran over a little boy so he did'nt do it anymore. We had the Musial part signed through his company, McGwire the story above, Pujols KC Hitting Clinic. That expirence my dad said was one of the best things he has ever had happen. He tried forever to get an IP autograph of Mac. I sent McGwire a letter during ST to thank him this year and got a card back signed in black. it was one of the first TTM succeses posted of him this year.

Boxes from Blowout.First box had an extra hit.Wasn't expecting anything else after the 4th, but pulled a Team USA autograph/patch in last pack numbered 1/25.Has anyone ever pulled any of those Pride Of A Nation cards?Disappointed I kept hitting the same players in each box.First box I got 2 Miller jersey cards, 2nd box had 2 Ray autographs, and last box had 2 Taillon jersey cards (at least one was a signature).
