I had no idea Todd Helton killed Nick Adenhart.

There's nothing funny about a kid dying. Helton was driving drunk, knowlingly putting others' lives at risk. It's a very selfish act that can destroy lives.

one thing to take into consideration imo that nobody has really talked about, is he played his home games his whole career at coors field. i wonder what his home/away splits are

He didn't kill anyone driving drunk, but it doesn't change the fact that what he did was selfish and foolish. Helton only got probation I believe, you can see his mug shot on google images he looks wasted.

I'll never forget the young baseball player "Nick Adenhart" who was killed by a drunk driver in 2009 later in the night after throwing a 6 inning shutout for his 2nd career start and first of the season. Such a tragic story, and it pisses me off that Helton as a grown 38 year old man could so easily forget what can happen when you make the decision to drive while intoxicated. I know everyone makes mistakes, but when I hear about celebrities getting DUIs, I just think of Nick Adenhart and it frustrates me how easily they get off.
