Guys i need your help. didn't there used to be a thread a couple years ago on a guy name Tom Murry that was scamming people on these boards if so could somebody please provide a link to it. I have found a friend of mine that is in a group on Facebook that has a guy trying to trade with him named Tom Murry so I'm wondering if it's the same one.

Which group sigma? I'm in a couple where Tom is also a member. I try to steer people clear of him.

Have not heard that name for awhile. Oddly enough about 15 min. ago I had a "people you might know" suggestion on Linkedin for Tom Murry.

He surfaced in a Facebook buy/sell group I am in. I approached the admin about him being a scammer and was ignored. I just sent the admin a link to the ban thread. He tried to sale me some stuff. Didn't get very far because it was way overpriced. Wanted $70 for a $25 Moustakas auto.

Ahh ol tom. He is quite the scammer, he thinks he is smarter than everyone else. He isn't run away far away.

A word of advice he will deny its him tooth and nail. He will claim its someone else with a similar name, he will claim innocence. Just like he did here, and was lying through his teeth until people came forward he ripped off years ago was still catching up with him.

looks like the Tom in this group is from Pennsylvania....only say that because there are some pennsylvania online yard sale groups that he is in also. It's so weird how I found this...my buddy posted a comment in this group with cards for sale and it showed up on my home feed for some reason (i wasn't even in the group) so i look and lo and behold Tom Murry is trying to trade for his Dodger cards.

I've had good experiences with Tom. He has always been polite and in our transactions hes always delivered. Not trying to take away from those who have not. Just stating my experiences.

I'm old Greg

Yup that was his MO. Then he would go on a rampage stealing and claim it was a case of mistaken identity. Until of course several people came out of the woodwork to confirm it was him the last time. He thought enough time passed that those collectors are long gone. He was wrong.

Its also a reason he used different PO boxes so he didn't want anyone having his address or running his addy through google because then you would see red flags galore. Besides the fact he used Tom Murry, Tom Mury, Tom Murray.

I've never had one single problem with Tom. Have dealt with him successfully on a few occasions.

He even sent me a wedding gift.

Tom won one of the biggest prizes from my contests:

A "power pitcher" themed signed baseball (JSA), including:

4 HOFers (Nolan Ryan, Sandy Koufax, Bob Feller, Steve Carlton)
2 future HOF (Randy Johnson, Curt Schilling)
4 other fireballers (Vida Blue, Mickey Lolich, Sam McDowell, J.R. Richard, Kerry Wood)

Never bothered to check to see if he flipped it, but in this case, it would be his perrogative.
