Yeah I used to play the 100 rebuy daily for about 2 years. had to deal with alcoholism at the end of college and lost all my money. I am not the evenkeal on 2+2 but I model my game after him.

You won a rebuy tournament? CONGRATS ON THAT NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE FEAT! Rebuy tournaments tend to be the biggest shell-game luck of the draw format around online. I have all but given up on them. I haven't been able to come up with any sort of strategy or basic understanding on how to regularly make it through the first 90 minutes. You can't put anyone on any sort of hand and just have to get lucky and get monster hands early on. I get sick to my stomach seeing a guy rebuy 4 times then turn over something like 5-8 offsuit in a raised pot when I flop top set. It's happened more times then I can count.

Nonetheless, $5k on that little of an investment is such a huge win. I have gotten very close to winning some of PS's Microstakes guarantees in the last couple days but have ran into the same situation. I can almost always cash in a field in a 3000+, but when I get down to around the final 50 or so players it's the same thing. The one bad player left in the tournament ends up sucking out on me left and right and kills my stack. In my last tournament, I had a guy call my preflop 4x raises twice with 8-9 offsuit and hit straights both times when I held overpairs and flopped sets. He finally took the rest of my stack when I reraised with pocket queens, he called with 10's and hit a flush with his lone spade (we both held hearts). I was so disgusted I haven't played on Stars since then.

You need to run really good... luckily for me I final tabled this and a $22 mtt in the same week for around 3k total and then cashed out to focus on school.

And because my doomswitch came back right after that and I lost about 500 at tables haha

Also, the tables are really juicy tonight, the holiday is helping :D

Can you use paypal as a way to sign up or are credit cards required on all the sites?

Make sure your on pokerstars.com and not .net. Double check that your email was confirmed as well.(they send you a confirmation code when you sign up, its under options I think)

I remember one hand(that I was on the winning side of). I had KK, other guy had 66. We were both all-in preflop. Flop was 6 6 something else. I hit runner runner king to win the hand. Online poker is crazy.

That would suck. That actually happened this year in the world series main event. Except it was quad Aces.
