I want to put my list of the top 100 players of alltime on this thread. I think this will educate and entertain at the same time. I will put 1 player a day up. I will give career stats, and some other impressive facts. Feel free to comment or add to it. Here goes:

100. King Kelly, Catcher, Boston.

Career 69 HR, 950 RBI, .308 AVG

5 impressive stats:
84 sb in 1887 (most ever by a Catcher)
155 runs in 1886
.483 obp in 1886
68 sb in 1889
More than 368 career sb (were not counted until 1885.)

I had never heard that stat either.. was it on his HOF plaque?

I know what he was saying. And no, he didn't call ME "f'n stupid", but it's just his attitude towards others on this board where he did call others "f'n stupid".

Regardless, I know how this thread is going to end, and at the end of the day, while my first post had a sarcastic tone to it, I was mainly just warning others to not play into his games.

...but, he also needs to remember, if he wants respect from others, he sure as hell needs to give it, which at this point, he deserves absolutely none.

Either way, I'm done, I'll let it play out and hope for the best...

I think that you just need to spend more time with bodiaz. You'll get it after a while. I just wish that one of the guys in your sig was Ozzie Smith so I could show you instantly, but... you'll just have to keep reading and see what everybody is talking about.

Ozzie Smith will not appear on this list of the top 100 ballplayers of all time. Bodiaz thinks that you are an idiot who doesn't know anything about baseball if you think that Ozzie is one of the top 100. The Baseball Almanac ranked him #56 in their top 100 of all time. Now it's true that different people have different opinions, but there are a lot of facts and stats that prove Ozzie's greatness. There are lots of people who are fans of Ozzie, and I have personally seen bodiaz tell these people that their favorite player sucks and doesn't deserve to be in the HOF.

After a while it just gets old. At least he acknowledges that Rickey Henderson is one of the greatest to ever play, but he believes Rickey used steroids to achieve his greatness. I'm not sure if he really believes that or he's just saying it to rile people up... after years of reading his posts it's still hard to tell. I mean, you read his opinions on steroids and you think "surely he's kidding and nobody really feels that way" but no, he's serious. If you didn't take steroids you weren't trying hard enough.

I don't care who's list says what. In my opinion Musial is top 5 and Rose is top 50. I want to say Rose is top 25, but even I feel that's stratching it just a bit. I feel more comfortable putting him in the top 50. Other than that I don't care who is where on the list
