Since JP posted the top 100 list - I had the same thoughts reading through it as I always do - who is pretty high on the list yet still sells cheaply.

A few thoughts:

Tyler Skaggs - #13

Platinum Autos still available cheap - [phil:7r68vx6w]330689915103[/phil:7r68vx6w] and [phil:7r68vx6w]180818969437[/phil:7r68vx6w]

Mike Montgomery - #23

[phil:7r68vx6w]180816603826[/phil:7r68vx6w] - a blue auto? for that price? Is this simply because he was already called up and the hype isn't as high anymore?

Brad Peacock - #36

[phil:7r68vx6w]120857811587[/phil:7r68vx6w] - his only certified autos, leaf, are really cheap

Mike Olt - #43

[phil:7r68vx6w]260956645823[/phil:7r68vx6w] - Sterling Autos still around for under $10 dlvd

So the question to you all is, do the prices seem right or do you legitimately think these guys are undervalued....or, are they over-ranked?

On the flip side, Rizzo is in the 90s regarding rankings - [phil:1bi5ct63]260956612686[/phil:1bi5ct63] and his most recent auto sold for $30.

On Montgomery I think it is a combination of the injury risk, fact he's been around a while, and possibly a higher ranking than was expected. I was expecting a ranking closer to 50 personally (not because I know much of anything, but based on last season and other lists I had seen.)

If you didn't take a look at Jbhoffman's chart on the front page, take a gander, two guys who stood out from others ranked near them as high:

Manny Machado:
[phil:21xitxaw]320842854563[/phil:21xitxaw]
[phil:21xitxaw]120749557779[/phil:21xitxaw]

Francisco Lindor:
[phil:21xitxaw]330688837999[/phil:21xitxaw] - Base Chrome Auto
[phil:21xitxaw]160737337492[/phil:21xitxaw] - Refractor Auto

I've not previously considered either of these guys as over-valued, would you? I think some of it may have to due with 1. premium position and 2. high upside.

I found that Machados are being hoarded at the moment. Only 3 base autos sold at auction since ealry January. It's pretty clear people are holding him right now.

Lindor was someone that I was high on at first but I just get the feeling he will be a second baseman that will not hit for power. He's too high in my opinion.

How about this one - [phil:xjv1bp4k]160714177584[/phil:xjv1bp4k] - I was actually in the process of buying a few Rymer's cause I thought he was too low but I guess that process is over!!

The interesting thing is, one year ago today just about all of us would say San Diego's system is the place where all prospects and their card values go to die.

A few players that I have noticed rising in price are

Mesoraco
D'arnuad
Bauer
G. Brown

Once spring training games start some prices may sky rocket. I am hoping a few guys I have invested in have really good springs.

Your answer awaits in my original statement. Like the urban philosopher Flo-rida says, "Sometimes I Get a Good Feeling"
