I don't think you understand how abrasive your writing style can come off. You say ideas are ignorant or stupid, so the person who wrote that idea then naturally takes it as you calling them ignorant or stupid. Then when that person says something you raise it to the next level saying you never said something and it's the other person twisting things, which then ticks off the other person even more. I'm sure you don't mean to do stuff like this, but that's the way your writing comes off.

That said, trojan may have gotten a little too worked up for what was said in this thread but I'm sure there was some residual left from the last thread.

Well quite frankly....I'm tired of this guy questioning other peoples opinions....we (Tomlinson21RB and myself) haven't agreed in the past...but do we have issue's with each other....absolutely not....but this guy on the other hand want's to say things on here and then to top it all off deny what he's doing.....like he forgot or something....do the quotes and previous posts disappear on his screen or something???

I never said a single thing like that to Trojan about his opinion. I never called it stupid nor did I call it ignorant. I dont see how my original post was abrasive. I can see the rest as that, due to the major overreaction, but honestly I dont see it in my original post to him.

What would be the proper word to describe his failure to win a championship that would negate his stats? I couldnt come up with the word except fail.

I also think you fail to read everything that people say and focus on little pieces. I said there may have been an overreaction in this thread, but it was left over aggression from the last thread. In that one you said ideas or ways of thinking were stupid/ignorant and basically sounded like there was no other way to view it except yours.

Stockton didn't make my list because he doesn't have any championships.....his assist average is impressive.....but me personally, I think Magic (and NO I'm not a Laker fan....I'm a Clippers fan ), Cousy, Thomas, and Frazier had a way more impressive careers....just my opinion.

if you read my whole 1st post....it's pretty self explanatory.....you just took the fact that YOUR #1 on your list didn't even make mine....and did I ask you "Why is Stockton even on your Top 5....let alone #1?" It doesn't bother me at all guys. Believe me, there have been much, much worse train wrecks on FCB. :lol: :lol:

I can see both sides of the argument. If you use rings in determining your list, then Stockton just doesn't make it. If you use just black and white stats, I think he has to make it. If you use a combination of the two plus intangibles, I would think he makes it. It all depends on how you look at it.

I know this is basketball, but follow me for a second. I am a huge Pete Rose fan, have been all my life. He's the Hit King in baseball. Of course he played for 24 seasons. So some people say that he was a compiler and not the great hitter I have always thought him to be.

Anyway, I use that because I think that's how some people feel about Stockton as well. Most of the PGs on everyone's lists tend to have played in the 13-14 season range while Stockton played 19. After 13-14 seasons did Stockton's number add up compared to the others? Now I am going to have to go look at the stats again. :lol: In my opinion though, out of the players on everyone's lists, Stockton is the most "pure" or "truest" PG on the lists.

Tomlinson- I agree with you about Chris Paul. He's still very young, but when it comes time to shut it down, I think he has a definite shot at being a Top 5 guy.
