I don't think one person mentioned Pedroia. Just wondering how close he is to top 5.

Jeter the next 4000 Hit man.

Really? He's in his age 35 season and is 1400 hits away. He's also starting to look like he's entering the decline phase, though he is likely to age well. I still can't see him putting up 6-7 more 200 hit seasons; not even close.

Right now? I'm a bit biased due to who I collect and who a friend collects, but:

1. Pujols (w/o a doubt)
2-5 in no order: Wright, Cabrera, A-Rod (roids or not), Longoria

That commerical is great, saw it just yesterday for the first time over on espn360.com

On a related note, I have become a big fan of ESPN360.com. After having Verizon FIOS for over a year, I didn't realize until this month that I have free access to ESPN360 service.

My list is favorite players, not greatest or anything.

1. Frank Thomas - A fan since childhood, and he's the reason I took up 1st base in little league

2. Paul Konerko - An underrated guy, and another first basemen. Gotta have love for Pauly

3. Carlton Fisk - Pudge. Forget Ivan. This is Pudge.

4. Ken Griffey Jr - I was a fan back in the Mariners days, so I was happy when he played a stint with the White Sox

5. Carlos Lee - Another I was a fan of when he started out with the Barons. I also feel he's underrated.

i will have to agree with this one...just look at my banner. :D

being a white sox fan i do like ryne sandberg though, i grew up liking him and hes still one of my major PC players to this date. ryno was a great second baseman its hard to say who i would drop off of your list...maybe el caballo...gotta keep hurt, paulie well as i said look at my banner lol...pudge rounds out my three favorite players of all time (ryno, fisk, konerko), and griffey is just an amazing player.
