I apologize for taking so long to get back to this guys. This week has been busy. So finally, let's get to the SFs.
1. Larry Bird- I really don't think anymore needs to be said. Larry Legend is definitely the number 1.
2. Elgin Baylor- Dynamic player. "The man with a thousand moves." Possibly one of the most underrated players in NBA history. Averaged 27.4 PPG and 13.5 RPG over his career and added 4.6 APG. In 134 Playoff games, he averaged 27 PPG and 12.9 RPG.
3. John Havlicek- Played very well at both ends of the floor. Strong offensively and defensively.
4. Julius Erving- Put up solid PPG, RPG, and APG numbers for his career. He also averaged almost 2 (1.8) steals per game to go with 1.5 blocks. Another very talented player at both ends of the court.
5a. Rick Barry- Very solid all around. He could score, rebound, and pass. He also played solid defense averaging 2 steals a game for his career.
5b. James Worthy- May not have the best (biggest numbers), but was clutch. He put up 17 PPG and 5 RPG over his career. "Big Game" James put up 36 points, 16 boards, and 10 assists in Game 7 of the 88 Finals and won Finals MVP.
Just misses:
Scottie Pippen
Dominique Wilkins
I know I actually listed 6, but I just couldn't justify keeping either Worthy or Barry off o the list. This was another difficult one to try and only pick 5.
