Quick question about this set.

I know the total checklist has 104 cards. I notice some are blue backs and some are red backs.

I know the minis have both colors, and it is possible to put together an entire red or blue-back set. Does the standard size base set have both back colors also, or does each card come as one version?

Thanks Anthony. I may just be having a brain cramp on this one. Not sure I see the answer on that link. So, the minis definitely come in red and blue back parallels. Just not sure if the base cards have two versions too.

Funny, the comments on that link have someone complaining about the card stock being too thin. I love the card stock. I wish the past few years of Heritage were this thick. Card stock is nice.

Ohhhh bro, I misunderstood your question. I thought you were asking about minis. I looked through my 4 base sets and they all the colors on the back match. I dunno why some are red and some blue but I didn't see a variation in the base

The original 1951 set was issued in two series of 52 cards each. One was red backs, one was blue backs. (to be technical one of the series, the redbacks, has two additional card variations for a total of 54). So they're were 104 cards in total. the 1951 heritage set has 104 base cards, 52 of each color. An individual base (full-size) card is either Red or Blue, they don't vary. They are also numbered out of 104 cards. I have noticed any pattern to the assignment of bred or blue as the back color. The original set had no particular assignment pattern that I know about.
