Topps Chrome VS Bowman Chrome

fellas, im more in the baseball section but i know that bowman chrome trumps topps chrome for baseball

does it apply to football as well or is it vice versa in the land of football?

Value wise i think Bowman Chrome, but i personally think Topps Chrome is alot nicer then BC

I'm no expert, but my take:

There are no "prospects" in football as there is in baseball, and that is one of BC's calling cards for baseball.

In terms of general book values to the best of my memory base RCs generally book higher for Topps Chrome; I could be wrong though.

well some guy wanted like 300 for the tc boldin super and i got the bc boldin super for 50 so i want to say tc, let me check my pms

I'd say Topps chrome, simply because I see more of those in pc's and people trying to get the variations. Also more Topps chrome seems to get busted upon release then BC (at least from what I've seen).

I don't thnk either would be considered a "big" football release though, if you're looking for the most desirable/valuable rc's those are found in other products.

I like TC's design better this year but overall I say BC all the way.

Also, I can tell you that TC rookies of Portis consistently sell for more than BC ones. This is especially true for the scarce parallels.

Believe it or not...Topps Chrome seems to have some high priced base rookies.I was actually surprised what some of the cards book for.Too bad base rookies for baseball can't be that way.

Definitely Topps Chrome. I wasn't even aware anyone really cared about Bowman Chrome in football.

i know that exquisite and sp authentic will be the top two in terms of football rookie cards but wanted to see where bowman chrome is at

not that i go by the "book" beckett-wise, but i did see that topps chrome autos of said rookie player is booked slightly higher than bowman chrome auto

does bowman chrome and topps chrome lose its value quickly or do you think they will still be an attractive alternate in the future?

any experiences on your sales on both tc and bc? which was a better flip? which made you/lose more $$

I wouldn't advise anyone to invest in either product. Football is a much, much different animal than baseball.

Mendenhall Bowman Chrome Gold Refractor autograph toward the end of last season when he was out with a broken shoulder - $45-65 (I sold one for $70).

Oh yeah, investing in anything football is a pretty terrible idea. While I see that people can make money if they are good enough in baseball, football prices almost always start astronomically high and then drop like a rock (or at least quite a bit) later. Football is absolutely more for collecting players you like rather than ones you think will make it someday.

Eh...I think you can prospect in football.The biggest problem is that all the talent is showcased nation wide during the collge season so a lot of people already know the big names before they hit unlike baseball where your average fan doesn't know all the mminor league prospects and there is an ability to sit on cards for a few years and then reap rewards.

But I was picking up Brian Cushing autos for next to nothing before the season started(99 cent bids and winning the auction).Now...I could quadruple my money with ease, locally.They will go back down for sure but if you want to go short term...its always possible.
