I can understand if it was, say, the 93 SP Jeter rookie buyback autographs, or another card that has previously been in circulation coming from factory stock. The issue isn't really whether it was truly bought back (unless you actually have someone file some kind of claim to no avail with the BBB for faulty advertising), but instead the fact that they are re-releasing a card that has never been released in the first placed. I don't recall seeing a "buyback" that was never released before.
Does anyone have an instance of a "buyback" being a card that was never released in the first place?
I feel like I'm barking up the wrong tree, and nobody really gives a shat, but I guess I'm frustrated that a 2006 card that was never released, will now find it's way into circulation in [strike:2isztu1o]2010[/strike:2isztu1o] 2015 when Topps ships these out. Or maybe, just maybe, someone will get one of the uncirculated replacement autographs for this Pedroia when they ask for shipment.
