Where were you a few days ago, Mr. Topps Official?

I hope Topps, at the very least, plans to put some sort of stamp on the fronts of authentic cards and (hopefully) will serialize them as well.

The sad part is that Beckett is partly to blame for their shoddy reporting of the AFLAC player signings. They misquoted a Topps employee by stating that some of the signed cards would be handed out at the game, which was not true.

And with that the floodgates opened.

I seriously doubt that this will stop these a-holes from ripping more people off.

Yeah, they even had pics of him signing the cards in the article. Beckett definitely did the inhibiting. I'd like to know if anyone was willing to call Topps with the auction for the fake that sold for $750. That's major internet fraud right there. $500+ is felony.

Maybe because Topps saw the article that Beckett did and wanted to make sure the company that put out misleading info put out the correct info.
Another reason, though, that Beckett is a bunch of hacks.

That was simply a member with a blog who didnt have the rights to talk on behalf of the topps company, I talked to topps they said they are following ebay items and they tell ebay to close listings on fake autos and patches so if it goes through which i know it will because it has already been deemed real by topps, then its real. Straight from the mouth of a topps representative. Im well aware of that article but i could make an account and do the same saying they are real. Plain and simple they are real and are coming out in 2010 packs but some leaked out already that are 100% real.

Call Topps and report the seller. Let Topps contact eBay.

Has that seller ever sold an authentic autograph?

If eBay tracked sellers and member requests to pull/report items we wouldn't be having this discussion. eBay needs to understand that sellers like this, and news like this negatively affect ALL of eBay.

eBay really needs to step up their game in dealing with fakes, frauds and thieves before a huge media firestorm hits.

all the topps Bryce Harpers will be machine serial numbered. Not saying that can't be faked too, but that is whats going down.
