I just think Topps is going to dumb the product down now that they are the only folks that are backed by the MLB. The MFG'd logoman patches really piss me off.

I usually buy 3-4 boxes every year... its fun to rip and the parallels/inserts/autos usually do well.... but this year with EEE coming out at the same time.... I had to pick one or the other... and EEE won.

2010 Topps Series 1 is due to release January 27. I have 8 Jumbo cases coming so I have to pay attention to that stuff. I do agree though, one of my favorite products each year.

Unreal. No release date is ever accurate anymore.

Actually, the release date has been the 27th for a pretty long time. Almost 2 months now. That is pretty accurate IMO.

I remember when I used to get excited when I'd see the first Topps baseball cards hit the shelves at the stores. Of course, that was long ago, in the 60's. It was a sure sign that spring was on the way. I don't think Series 1 released this early in my childhood. Probably late February, if my mind has any working parts.
Now, it is more like a visit with an old friend when it releases.

When I got back into the hobby in early 2008, I made the mistake of opening at least
10 hobby/jumbo boxes of base Topps to feed the wax addiction. Worst money I ever spent.
