Topps finally provides great customer service and then some and everyone finds a way to find fault.
I would just be happy I got such a nice card in return, can't imagine my luck being so good.
I can understand the hatred for not packing out the Harper but had the Trout been replaced with something less valuable Topps would be villainized for horrible service.
Heres the twitter response
"99+% cards placed in product, few randomcards held to cover NPN & replace damaged cards, all go to collectors"
Has anyone considered that the Harper Auto was initially held back in case one of the other 5 Harpers were damaged? This was the marquee card upon release and would be disaster if it could not be appropriately replaced. Once no one claimed the need for the Harper auto they found it best to use it as a replacement for another big hit and get the Harper into circulation.

If they're going to save one for replacement purposes for that exact card then why not print an extra and leave it unnumbered then when the damaged red Harper gets sent in for replacement then shred that one and stamp the unnumbered one and ship out.
That way all cards get inserted into product

They once did this; most companies did.......see the 90s thread and all of the backdoored cards.
