Topps Sterling Football Officially Cancelled

I talked to Clay from Topps yesterday and he confirmed that Topps has cancelled Sterling Football for 2008. He said there are some plans of what to do with cards already printed, but with the economy it wasn't the time for a high end set that is that big of an SRP.

Actually, it is not. At the time All in Cards posted it, they were still planning a push back to March... Now it's a full on cancel.

Could the economy finally get the number of releases cut back, something we've all wanted for years?

The thread that you linked to even said it was delayed not cancelled. I got it straight from Topps and he said they were just announcing it, so I guess I trusted him.
