Considering AoF was supposed to be about 600 per case, with the same autos (except a few people), 700+ seems expensive considering theres more no namers in the UFC product than AoF

1. THat means nothing now-a-days.
2. Might want to do your research, as a TON of those guys already have stuff in A&G, Donruss Americana, & Donruss Sports Legends, & Sportkings.

I agree with HPC. The UD stuffed looked alot better and didn't have as many misses.

I guess I'll get a case of it. Let me know if anyone wants to trade dupes to make sets.

you obviously are talking out the wrong exit. You say a ton of guys have already had STUFF in A & G. First of all there was about 10 fighters give a take a few. not all but most were scrubs! Now, all the cards that were in A & G were a card representitive of the individual and not the UFC. All fighters cards will be rookies, including some old timers. I also read that each box will have a topper as well. the 1 of 1 red parallels are going to be wicked.

So why do YOU consider them rookies?
They have previous issued MAINLINE cards.
Just because it doesn't say 'UFC' on the card? That doesn't mean squat.
They will not be "RC's".

And I don't believe Rampage or Randy are A&G Scrubs by the least bit. ANd they were released 2 years ago.

I would be interested in trading some dupes to complete sets , will talk more after the product is released.

I dont care what other people think about this product. I got mine coming and cant wait . I have been watching on ebay the donruss americana singles and the only cards people are bidding on and buying are the MMA cards that are in that set, so with that being said I think there is going to be a market for MMA cards.

I've been an mma fan and card collector for many years, but to be honest, fighter cards being "rookie cards" doesn't mean anything to me.
I mean seriously, is the Nogueira card going to be a "rookie card" despite the fact that he's already been fighting for more than 10 years?
And for your information, MANY of the guys on that checklist have previous cards in sets from Pride, K-1, etc. in Japan. (I have most of them...)

I am really curious as to why no Wand autos?

Does he have a previous exclusive with someone else or something that would prevent it?

Not sure, but I don't think so. Sucks though. Maybe he just didn't feel like signing.

In 1993 Hideki Matsui played for the Yomiuri Giants, he had cards out in Japan and came to the USA to play for the Yankees in 2003 ,Yep thats 10 yrs later and yes Hideki Matsui does have 2003 rookie cards, thats just one example. I guess that blows your theory that I quoted you above right out of the water .NEXT !

You're seriously comparing baseball to mma? Bit of a difference there. MMA is my favorite sport, but the cards will be much more of a pure novelty than baseball cards. Do you really think mma "rookie cards" are going to command a premium? Highly doubtful. And for every card in the entire product to be considered a RC is comical.

It sounds like you are looking for confirmation of your buy.

In that case, everyone here has told you it is too expensive, and they will not be true RC's, because like Ty said, fighters cant have RC's, only first autos.

And, almost all of the big name UFC guys have autos in Ring Kings, Sport Kings, AG, etc.

Couture has about 10 different licensed autos out right now, the first being 06 Allen and Ginter...Rampage Jackson has maybe 5 right now....Franklin, Karo, Couture, Griffin, Sherk, etc, all have Ring Kings autos.

Dont get me wrong, i will buy some of the UFC product, but, as for your question on what people think, you have your answer, and are now just trying to reassure your buy. This product has no rookies in it, as, once again ty said, almost everyone in the set has had previous professional fights.

Just because a card says "RC" doesnt mean it is a Rookie.

Not to mention the fact that guys have had previous Pride, etc, cards released that are rarer, and more valuable, but yet, dont get the press because it doesnt say UFC on them.

Art of Fighting was supposed to be around $595 a case, and it had alot less no namers, and better autos, not to mention, the cards looked 10X better. The UFC product is over $700 and has more cards, more production, more scrub autos, and the cards arent all that appealing.

...Just my .02

Man Joe,
With EVERY single one of these cards being TRUE ROOKIES.
You should go get 3 cases YOU'LL make a KILLING!! :o

Nobody wants an ON-CARD auto of Rampage or Couture from '06 A&G. That's not a RC. It doesn't say RC or UFC on it.
Nobody wants '07 or '08 Rampage or Couture Autos from Sportskings. Yep, doesn't say RC or UFC.

You found the diamond on the rough!! Now go make your millions sir.

*TY, on a side note, there will be another USO tour coming our way in March. My buddy is still working the details from Tapout and UFC, but names that are being submitted TO us from them are Forrest, Rampage, Wandy.
If Wandy indeed comes, I'll contact you and square you away with a graph. ;)
