Yes, but the 1 per case hit makes up for the rest of the product...
...if you wait and buy said case hit on eBay for less than the price of a case.

I can't see anyone even breaking even on a case of this.

When you say "triple play", do you mean from the offensive or defensive perspective?

I think you have to dig through a bunch of garbage to get to the good stuff, kind of like sweet spot this year.

This product screams "balk" to me.....

I actually like triple play better than this product. Topps wasted some nice GU pieces on a gross looking product.

I am in the camp that loves the design of unique.

I am not a fan of the method of distribution though. This should have probably been a multi hit product.

Do you mean the design of the GU and Autos? I don't mind the GU and I guess I could live with the autographs, but the base cards and sub sets are horrid.

I'm confused... I thought there were 2 relics/1 auto per box??? Am I thinking of something else?

There are.

There is also a 1/1 GU/Auto or /6 GU/Auto out of every case.

The autographs and GU have some weak players and the product is clearly an inventory dump. There are 2 group breaks with scans in the Box Break section.

I like the look of them, they remind me of the Topps Signature Series from Basketball which I liked as well.

Ah, I see. Thanks!! "Inventory dump" is EXACTLY what popped in to my head the first time I saw this product.

The design is ok to me. I like that you get a ton of cards and still have that chance to hit a big time card. Nice product IMO for new hobbyists. With that said, it's not a product I'd open.

Ok, well, "Yes" and "stupid poll" are tied for the lead.

I must just be a little mad about the beating I got in the 2 different group breaks.

It really isn't a bad looking product - I saw one of the sets of scans posted from the group break and was like, 'meh, meh, meh - oh, snap - a nice Andy Pettitte logoman.'

I'd never touch it, even if it was a $75 per box product, but as a 'casual collector,' I'm tempted.

I like the look of it.

I think topps actually tried hard on this one...collectors have been wanting value...well when you have as many logomen and bat knobs as they do, I have to say they listened. Sure the checklist isn't the best but how many pujols logos can you put into one product?

Inventory dump or not, there are a lot of nice patches and hits (and some that suck).

Shoot, I bet someday they will be selling in the $40 - $50 a box range. I opened 1 box and originally was going to open 2 but decided that i couldn't subject myself to the pain of looking at that many ugly base cards again.
