The Toronto Sportcard Expo was this past weekend and I made my annual trip to the show. The show happens twice a year and as usual it was about 95% Hockey related. There are few baseball dealers but I think I made out well. I will post scans later of the pick ups and here are the results:

I picked up the following cards at these prices.

2007 Bowman Sterling Jason Heyward Auto $25.00 (Steal)
2007 Bowman Sterling Ryan Braun Auto $20.00
2007 Bowman Sterling Jay Bruce/ Joey Votto Dual Auto $25.00
2007 Bowman Sterling Fernando Martinez/ Deolis Guerra Black Refractor Auto 21/25 $20.00 (Steal)
2005 Topps Chrome Update Andrew McCutchen Auto $20.00
2004 SP Prospects Yovani Gallardo Auto /400 $65.00
2007 Exquisite Yovani Gallardo Auto Jersey 038/199 $20.00
2007 Bowman Sterling Yovani Gallardo Ref Auto 059/199 $8.00

Overall, I think I did pretty good. There were some other good buys to be had but nothing I was really interested in. On another note, I did see a couple of BIG cards for sale for you prospectors. I saw a Bowman Chrome Draft Buster Posey Red Refractor Auto and a 2007 Bowman Chrome Draft Nick Hagadone Superfractor Auto. Also, there was one dealer who just sell boxes and he has every Bowman Box from every year as well as SP Propect Boxes. These are the following prices he had them at but they were way overpriced!

2001 Bowman Chrome $575.00
2002 Bowman Draft $375.00
2003 Bowman Draft $350.00 ::facepalm::
2004 Bowman Draft 325.00
2005 Bowman Draft $175.00 I guess that is alright

That is it. If you have any questions about the show or anything else let me know!

I'll never understand the pricing of 2001 Bowman Chrome boxes.

Either way, one of these years I'm heading up there. It's one of the consistent legendary shows.

All of the prices were Canadian. I'm sure I could have talked down some of the box prices but he has had those same prices on the boxes for the last couple of shows.

I was not at this weekends but have been to several in the past, its a really great show and even though there is a lot of Hockey cards and memorabilia, there is also a good amount of the other sports as well.

Heres an interesting youtube video about the Toronto expo if anyone is interested in watching.

Enough people believe or are led to believe by the dealer that the Pujols were inserted into packs.
