ALL_THE_HYPE - What I meant above was that I only pick up trade bait which I think would move. Stuff people are looking for like Jeter, Arod, Pujols, etc.
Fandruw25 - Yes, you can buy everything but I find that it can get expensive real fast. Just this week I was able to trade for 30+ O'Neill cards I needed which would have easily cost me well over $125 if I had purchased them. Fortunately I was able to work out a trade and ended up saving a bundle. Big trades like this come around once in a blue moon but it helps to have a nice stock of stuff for trade when these opportunities do arise. I get most of my trade bait from 10/25 cent boxes and end up paying around 10% HBV. I doubt I would be able to find the rarer O'Neill cards for sale at those kinds of prices. The bottom line is that I do pick up trade bait because it helps to stretch my collecting budget quite a bit. The same way some sellers buy and flip cards and use that money to pickup PC items.
