PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:

In an effort to prevent any future issues that could arise from the transactions forum, a new rule has been added to the Transactions Terms of Service:

You may not trade or sell a card that you do not currently have in your possession. This includes any "pending" or "incoming". Please wait until the card is "in hand" before you offer it to someone else. If you are found to be offering these cards for trade or sale before you have them in hand, appropriate actions will be taken by the staff to deal with the infractions.

If you have any questions about this, please feel free to contact the staff via PM or through email at [email protected]

This is a very firm rule.

If you break it you will receive a 7 day suspension and you will receive 67 days with a send first icon.

Was this really ever an issue?I would imagine it was since something was mentioned about it but jeez...you'd have to be pretty dumb to do something like that in the first place.

Yes it is an issue more than you think pred. I think some of the older collectors are less likely to do this but some of the younger members don't know any better and they don't know what they are getting themselves into.

I have a scenario and want to make sure that I am in the clear. I have done this 2 times with no issues on either side...

I find alist of player A that I know a board member collects. I send the board member a list of available cards to see which ones they are interested in.

Once the board member has contacted me with the ones they one, and we agree upon a price, I secure the cards.

Once the cards are secured, I then inform the board member and at that time request payment.

I assume that this is an acceptable practice.

As long as no money/cards change hands before all money/cards are in hand of both parties it's fine - which seems to be what you're saying. However - there can be no "binding" agreement until you have secured the cards.

Yep you're in the clear - thanks :)

He may have done this for me a few times but I have never had not one problem out of him so I happy to say I don't think he is one of the problem people here.I don't trade too much though so I am not fully aware of all of the problem type people here.

I agree that as long as no cards or funds have exchanged hands it won't be a problem. Tons--I think you will be fine with what you proposed.
