Going to Chicago this weekend and would love to see a game at Wrigley. Basically saturday is the only day I can go and from what I hear saturday day games are packed. If I need a single ticket saturday, what's the best method of buying? what are my odds of buying one (from box office at face, or from scalpers, how much more than face do Wrigley scalpers normally want)

I would like to get a bleacher seat as it's nice to have GA but bleachers are sold out for saturday :(

On a side note, I'm staying near Winfield which is close to the Kane County Cougars, Anyone been to games there, worth watching?

Thanks

The secondary market for Cubs tickets is down this year, so your chances of scoring a good seat for a decent price are pretty good. I would try the box office first & if you don't have any luck there, there are several brokers located within a stones throw of the park (literally across the street). As a lifelong Cubs fan, I've sworn off the bleachers, too many obnoxious drunks. However, it's something you should experience at least one. I believe that face value for premium bleacher seats is $45. Funny that you mentioned the Cougars, I was invited to the game tonight but couldn't go. I've been before and it was a great time. Really good food, cheap drinks & a very family atmosphere. You can also see my boy max Stassi play! :D

Yeah so I've done some research and if you have a bleacher ticket, you can also roam around the rest of the park (which isnt the case vise versa). After reading that, I would really like to go for a bleacher seat as I would like to check out the rest of the park during the game.

ANyone with experience on secondary market (sold out for saturday) bleacher seats for saturday afternoon popular teams (Phillies) as far as how much more than face? I know it'll be expensive but don't want to shell out an absurd amount.

I took the train home past Wrigley today and there were a TON of Phillies fans @ the game, at least it seemed like it anyway. That's not going to help your cause any. Also, the fact that you're only buying one ticket doesn't help either. If I had to guess, I'd say $70 for a bleacher seat on Saturday? Of course, I'm basing this on nothing, but the bleachers are still considered the place to be.

The cubs games I've gone to, I've gotten tickets through stubhub or the box office. Tons of bleacher seats are available on SH, but they're a little pricey. I was at a game earlier this year and there were a TON of scalpers.

Geez Jeff, I didnt know you were in Chicago for a game! YOu should have said something.

To the OP, You can get bleacher seats from almost anyone selling them around the park. The best place to find them is at the corner of Addison and Scheffield as many people hang out down there selling the tickets. There used to be a short balding guy who sold peanuts at that corner that ALWAYS had tickets for sale. As some of the outside vendors near the park, they know who the scalpers are!! And since the Cubs are playing like crap and demand for tickets has gone down you should be able to find something, even on a Saturday.

The bleacher seats are a great experience. I will sit nowhere else in that park and I have had a chance to experience Cubs games in every part of Wrigley. There is some drunkenness and swearing but you will find some pretty passionate fans out there!
