Here's how the backs of these cards are worded:

"THIS IS AN MLB ALL-STAR GAME JERSEY LAUNDRY TAG RELIC CARD OF (PLAYER'S NAME/PLAYER'S MLB TEAM/PLAYER'S POSITION) FROM 2012 TOPPS TRIPLE THREADS BASEBALL. THE RELICS CONTAINED ON THIS CARD ARE FROM A JERSEY WORN DURING THE 2011 MLB ALL-STAR GAME FESTIVITIES."

So, the Halladay card specifically states that it is the laundry tag from Halladay's jersey.

BTW, I'm not yelling at anyone. Topps has it written in all caps, so I did the same.

Soo, it specifically does not say "WORN BY (PLAYER'S NAME/PLAYER'S MLB TEAM/PLAYER'S POSITION)"

...loophole!

Well between that and saying it's a game-worn jersey then throwing in the words "A JERSEY WORN DURING THE 2011 MLB ALL-STAR GAME FESTIVITIES."

Yeah, loopholes abound on it.

I am pretty sure they just put these on for 10 seconds in front of topps rep and MLB.

So, as a player collector, would there be a desire to have this card in your collection if your player was the one with the MLB autenticated swatch? I mean the card is of another player, but the laundry patch is from a jersey worn by your player. It could be looked at as an error card.

Also is every 1/1 laundry tag card in the set wrong? I mean there are atleast 4 examples in this thread, the two pictured and the other two missing their true 1/1 because the tag is on these two cards.

They're XXXXed up, amazing looking cards. Would I like to pull one? Yes. Would I like to spend $$ buying one? No.

As a collector, I guess you have 2 of these to chase: one with the player on it, and one with the actual swatch on it.
