Did anyone speculate on Adrian Gonzalez or Nelson Cruz - Tell the truth. A little proof?

I started on Cruz back in 04' with his 02' Just Auto while he was still with the A's (My team) and I bought a couple Gold Ref's and Blues once 05' Draft came out and after cracking my 4 cases of 05' Draft the only chrome cards I kept where Cruz, Delmon Young Futures Game and Javier Herrera, the rest were sold in lots.I also picked up his TCHU Red Xfractor in 05' but sold that also this year. so far all I have left is 9 05' BDP base cards and this #'d/200

I have decent stashes of Adrian Gonzalez RCs. Funny thing is, I am not about to list them, because his stuff doesn't sell even when he is hot. I might list if he gets close to 50.

Adrian Gonzalez was the first overall pick. You better believe people were on his nuts.

Man, I miss those old AOL boards and chat room.

I remember when '98 Ultra basketball and football was out. FLipping Duncan's and Moss right out of the gate.

I remember buying up Soriano when Gold Label came out, and Masterpiece Theatre.

Anyone who invested in Adrian Gonzalez back in 2000 has not done too well (the ROI over 9 years can't be all that great.)

I did pick up a single 2000 Bowman Draft Auto last season but while I obviously wish I had picked up more, I never really thought they were a great investment. With his power explosion we've seen increases in his prices, but the fact it's taken so much to see the increases we've seen just shows that while this risk paid off, it was a pretty high risk, only decent reward opportunity.

Nope, not at all. There were too many other guys to spend money on in 2005 Bowman Chrome Draft.
