I've had the Clark since 2003. (Fanfest in Chicago.) Just added the McGwire from a private signing. I know, not TTM or in person, but I have to share it somewhere! Really happy to have it completed!View attachment 355282

Wow. Nice piece. From my ttm experience, cash is the norm. Best to be discreet with it by placing it between the card and an index card (or paper) - and, most important, use security envelopes.

@dano7 question for you: if someone charges $10, $20, whatever for a signature when sent to thier home, how do you pay? Just send cash? Seems the easiest thing to do, but is that the norm?

I always send cash, with no issues. I place the money and the card between my folded return envelope.

I didn't include anything to be signed when I sent Bobby Shantz a letter asking him about a relation of mine who was his teammate for a few seasons. I included his usual signing fee for his time and reached him at 152 Mount Pleasant Ave, Ambler, PA 19002. Shantz wrote back last week, completing the exchange door-to-door in 8 days. He included a signed photo of himself along with notes about my family member written in the margin of the original letter.

Pitt Panther customs from the game at Virginia Tech on 3/30/24. All of these guys were so nice, asking where to sign, thanking us for asking them and one even asked if he could get a couple mailed to him. My friend, who created these got his address and promised to send him some.
