Afternoon all! Going to vote soon. Not much on the ballot, but I always vote.

3 more hours here than a nice evening outside...

The wind is blowing 40 to 50 mph around here. It's making my house sound haunted with the wind blowing down the chimney.

I went to vote and since I live in the county, not in the city limits of any town, there was only one item on the ballot. In our last local election, we had a recall vote for the County Executive (CE), Frank White. Yes, that Frank White, one of three jersey numbers retired by the Royals. Great player, super nice guy, terrible politician. The property taxes in our county have gone up from very little to 400%+ depending on who you know. He was voted OUT. That one question election cost the county $2 Million!

We voted today to determine if we will vote for the assessor in the future. We are the only county in Missouri that the assessor is appointed by the CE. All that to say: It's no wonder why our taxes are so high. We have election to vote on if we want to vote!!!!!
