I won 20 auctions, so it was a good day despite the button!

Well just found out that I now have 2 papers due within the next week for the same class. One over Fidel Castro due this Thursday and then one over a reading that was just assigned due next Tuesday.

Hawk- sorry to hear about the button. There were a couple of Denard Span cards listed, one being a 2002 Bowman Chrome gold refractor /50 and an UD USA red ink auto /20. They were both listed higher than I was willing to pay, bith listed BIN/OBO at $70. The guy wouldnt budge on his price. I have since acquired a red ink auto and I paid no more than $15 for it

Sorry to hear that seller wont budge, but good job on the red ink auto!

At that price, how far away would you be from a complete jersey that comes with lots of buttons (and that you could actually wear if so inclined)?

Lol, that is funny because I paid less than that for the auto road jersey with all the inscriptions, granted it is not game used though

Unfortunately if we all thought this way, we wouldn't own nearly as many cards as we do ;)

Exhibit A: Full game used bat for Albert Belle is ~$100. I own three, so that's a good number... BUT I've purchased many more cards for more than that number

Isn't funny how we do that lol

Morning boys.

That's just stupid money for that button. No way in hell it should've gone that high.

So far I've one the first of two of his auctions I set s snipe for.
@Hawk8 you really need to start using gixen.com...I was asleep when I won my first auction.

I am going to have to sign up for this, I missed one auction today because I was texting with the seller and I left work to sit at home these three hours to bid on these auctions but I won four auctions I already had just because of price and I would never have set a snipe on those items except one of them. One of them that I did win that I already had was /5 and I now own 4 of the 5.

And now unfortunately I ended up 1/2 for what I had snipes for because obviously @Hawk8 didn't see my pm in time.

Could've won the second card for $5.50

::benson::

Sorry Charlie, I did not see your PM in time, but like I told you in the PM back, I already own that card so do not worry!

Okay, I have to get back to work, talk to everyone later!

Wow, that's a crazy deal for the knob. Congrats!

I think Belle has a knob out there but it hasn't surfaced... my wallet is hoping it doesn't for a while.

I appreciate it. It really is a great deal. The guy said he wanted the card to go to a real collector. I'm glad he thought of me and was easy to work a deal with.

The seller I am buying all these auctions from has a Dawson bat knob and bat plate and he has already received an offer from a buyer for $400 a piece for them so those two will be out of my price range. My dad offered him $500 for the bat plate at his house and he was willing to sell it for that price but I told my dad he was crazy and we were not buying that card for that price.

Don't worry, there are about 6-8 more coming, he is not doing any listings today because he does not have a baby sitter today.

All of this button talk led me to find a picture of my only button card in my collection.

Rubber for the wet seasons, carpeted for the others. I had my stock carpets, and took em out when the weather got wet and put in thick rubber ones. Rubber ones dont look cheap if you get the higher quality ones. I sell em here at the store in five different levels of rubber. Super thin to super thick with grooves.

You can also order weathertech covers. Plastic like vinyl molded to the contours of your car. Vehicle specific applications. More money, but worth it if you want a custom fit mat. They even do cargo area mats for suvs.

Good afternoon.

Finally got a chance to check out the new Target that just opened nearby. I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of baseball they have, compared to my local Walmart that hasn't brought in any new ball since Topps S2. I picked up a Topps Update "MegaBox" (nothing noteworthy from that) and another repackaged box that contained 10 packs including a pack each of '89 Donruss, '12 Heritage, '12 Topps Chrome; 3 packs of '08 Upper Deck, and a bunch of 2012 Topps. Best pull for me was a 2012 Topps Heritage Jose Bautista SP for my Jays team set collection.
