They need to do this. Gardenhire is a great manager but his supporting cast of managers is AWFUL. I believe they wanted to keep him and fire his staff however, he wouldn't do that so they canned him too.

Minus a few late season starts, Nolasco was a monumental bust.

Hate to see Gardy go, but, after 4 absolutely abysmal seasons, something had to be done. Gonna miss him.

He's a genuine option. He's been a roving instructor for the Twins the last few years, and then this year he was brought on as a coach with the Twins.

13 years, not bad of a run for him. And I only mean this as sometimes would have blown him out a long time ago.

I just have a feeling that Gardenhire will be the Brewers manager in 2015. Nothing concrete except Rosenthal's comment on this but just a feeling. I posted this on Brewerfan.net and most of my counterparts don't want this to happen. Personally I would welcome him over Roenicke.
