Twins sign Denard Span for 5 years, 16.5 million

I think this is a smart move by the organization. If he keeps doing what he's done the last 2 years, he'll suprise some folks. He's some kind of ballplayer already, any only look for him to improve now that he has the CF job in hand and won't be shifting all over the place.

Denard Span is one of the most underrated players in the game. Great leadoff hitter, with great plate discipline(almost as many walks as Ks), and a great defender.

At $3M a year, that is what you call bargain shopping by the Twins. Great move.

if the Twins gets 3 years like this last two the twins are paying $5 million per year for a season like last year...that's pretty darn good.
