I'm taking extra time this year to get good cards to get signed. The last four years I've been working on my bat project and I found that I was always in a line with another player I didn't want or didn't have something good to get signed. This is how Dan Gladden ended up on the sweet spot of a ball and Tony Oliva was on a side panel. I swear Tony looked at the sweet spot before he signed it and gave me a dirty look. I'm trying to do inexpensive low numbered, jersey or rookie cards to get signed.

This is what I got so far:

Paul Molitor - 2006 Ultimate Collection Game Patches 24/50
Juan Berenguer - 1991 Topps Desert Shield
Kevin Tapani - 1991 Topps Desert Shield
Scott Erickson - 1991 Topps Desert Shield
Roy Smalley - 1986 Topps Tiffany
Jeff Reardon - 1981 Topps RC
Dan Gladden - 1985 Donruss RC
Tim Laudner - 1982 Topps RC
Rene Tosoni - 2008 Bowman Sterling Refractor 31/199
Josh Willingham - 2010 Bowman Chrome Printing Plate Yellow 1/1
Terry Steinbach - 1987 Topps Traded Tiffany
Carl Pavano - 1997 Bowmans Best Atomic Refractor
Jason Marquis - 1997 Bowman Chrome
Jamey Carroll - 2011 Topps Update Black 41/60
Jamey Carroll - 1998 SP Authentic RC - I have two of these if anyone wants to trade
Jack Morris - 2004 Donruss World Series October Heroes Holofoil 9/25

Note: COMC has a Jamey Carroll 2002 Honor Roll Gold 17/50 that I would have wanted to get had I not already had a couple.
Ryan Doumit - 2005 Bowman Draft White 180/225

I don't know who all is going to be in what line, but I have this so far...

Kyle Knudson - Gophers Pocket Schedule
AJ Pettersen - Bat Barrel card
Cole Nelson - 2010 Elite
Jacque Jones - Apr 02 2011 Ticket Stub
Shannon Stewart - 8x10 of his 2003 ALDS catch
Glen Perkins - Either an 8x10 or ROMLB
Alex Wimmers - Heritage (if he is in the set)
Aaron Hicks - Heritage
Mudcat Grant - OMLB
Fergie Jenkins - OMLB

I would like to try for Carew, Doumit, Willingham, and Carroll but I don't know if I will have time.

I also plan to stop by the Gopher table to get graphs from whoever is there.

I am also doing a massive 50/50 with nearly everyone on the prospect list.

For Twins Caravan (if they sign):

Chris Parmelee - First HR ticket stub & Bowman Chrome
Dan Gladden - OMLB & SI from 1987
Anthony Swarzak - Topps Heritage RC (x2)
Trevor Plouffe - 2004 Bowman Chrome & 2010 Draft Chrome

I'll most likely be there all three days. Will wait to decide on what exactly I will get once the schedule comes out. Only players that I really know for sure that I'll get are Denard Span and Aaron Hicks. Other than that will probably hit the prospect lines and probably a few of the MLB roster guys once I see which lines are worth hitting. Still debating if I should make this year my attempt for Mauer or not.

I would think Mauer wouldn't be quite as bad but you would still have to be there right away. I wonder if attendence will be down, I know a lot of people didn't go last year because of the different venue and broke their tradition of going.

I got Carew last year on a ball that is the best autograph deal at Twinsfest year in and year out.

For some reason, the thought of Olivia giving you a nasty look after finding Gladden's sig already on the sweet spot is hilarious to me! Honestly, I am laughing out loud right now!

Hey Everyone!

I'm going to be at Twinsfest all 3 days as well. I have set up as a dealer the past two years, but for some reason did not get the vendor packet this year. Instead of calling and raising hell about it, I decided that I would still go, but go for fun and to get IP autos. I had quite the inventory of cards built up to sell, but I've since condensed everything down to 2 shoeboxes of all Twins, mostly game used and autos with a few T-Wolves and Vikings in there as well, that I'm going to take with me for trading. These aren't really high dollar inserts, but mostly $8 - $ 15 GU and Auto's. Not looking for cash, just to trade up if possible. If anyone wants to meet up and do some trading let me know!

I also have 2 cases of Twins Mini Helmets left over from last year. I doubt I will get them all signed so if anyone wants to give me $ 10 a pop on them we can meet up and I will hand deliver them ( save you the shipping ). Let me know if anyone is interested!!!

Well people didnt go last year because they limited the number of tickets for the 3 day event, not because of the venue change. It was still busy as ever out there (taking size into comparison)

The Minnesota Twins today announced that tickets for TwinsFest 2011 are sold out. For the first time in the event's 23 year history, the Twins have capped ticket sales at 25,000 for the three-day event. (In past years, there were easily 25,000 people at the Dome daily)

"Due to the unfortunate collapse of the Metrodome roof and our move to the National Sports Center in Blaine, a venue with smaller capacity, we have decided to cap ticket sales to TwinsFest to ensure the best possible experience for those who will be attending," said Dave St. Peter, Twins President.

Tickets will not be available at the door on any day of the event.

I think the Mauer line will be the typical Mauer line, 300-500 people deep daily

I had to buy my tickets off eBay. It was insane how much they were going for... I think we paid double or triple of what the door price would have been.

Last year was a hassle... but it was fun.

Here is Feller's list of signers for TF. I assume Jenkins will have a few too but I don't know who.

Thanks for posting. I need to remember to bring a Michigan mini helmet for Anthony Carter.

No problem.

Fergie Jenkins should have a line up too somewhere. I also know that the dealers sometimes bring in auto guests so you have to watch for them.

TB are you an AJ guy now?

I am a fan but I don't really collect him. I just bought that from one of my favorite dealers at a show in October. It's my only AJ sig.

I still player collect Perk but there hasn't been anything out there that I have been especially interested in, or have had the money for.

If anybody gets any extra autos they don't want/need feel free to PM me. Being in Nebraska makes it impossible to make it to Twinsfest. I've always wanted to go but I haven't made it there yet and I doubt I will for a few years with college
